Today is Reveal Day.

It’s been 26 days since Colt’s surgery and today the casts come off.  We’re more than a little anxious to see results.   I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t a little apprehensive too.   If I had to pick, I’d say yesterday was Colt’s most difficult day.  He was a little fussy, and a little bored with our attempts to entertain him.  He might be worn out from us telling him repeatedly “3 more days”, “2 more days”.  “1 more day”.   Right before bed though, we had a nice game with the nerf ball.

I’m going to miss these little hands.  It’s pretty hard to imagine how they could make them any better.  But I’m looking forward to seeing how well they did.

6 more days and counting.

Here’s some video clips from the last couple of weeks of us trying to entertain Colt.  We’ve watched TV, read books, played ball, danced, rolled around, cried, and fussed ourselves silly. Yesterday we just went outside for about 15 minutes and just watched the world.  Really, it’s been pretty much like before the casts, just a little slower and a little less mobile.

We’re really getting anxious to see the results and I’m sure Colt is ready to get these things OFF OF ME!  He’s a little trooper though and makes the best of whatever the day brings.

December 15th is the reveal day.

Maya & Colt

Maya, her dad, and her uncle all came down for the Nebraska vs. OU game on Saturday.    It was a quick trip to see the game but Maya got to spend some time with Colt.  She hasn’t seen him since he was just a couple of  months old.  She took a lot of her own pictures but we managed to get this one.   Hope you guys had fun!
